About our program...
Hello! We are Palm Springs High School's Sports Medicine Team. Our program is highly recognized at the local, state, and national level. We have been featured in the local newspaper multiple times in recognition of the merits of our program. We participate in many sports medicine competitions annually and we represent our school and community in a professional and adept manner that sets us apart from our competitors.
We help student athletes through the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. Our training room includes facilities and equipment that is meant to serve all student athletes whenever they are in need. The training room is managed everyday after school during practice hours by our student aids, and athletes are welcome to come in for whatever treatment they require. Our student aids can provide athletes with ice baths, ice bags, water, heating pads, and first aid. In addition, our student aids are available to assist athletes with rehabilitation as advised by our Certified Athletic Trainer. Our student aids are also capable of performing preventative measures to assist athletes, such as taping and wrapping extremities as needed. In addition, the Sports Medicine Team is present at practices and all games. We provide water and ensure that athletes get the proper hydration necessary. Our goal is to ensure that the athletes of Palm Springs High School are receiving the best possible care so they can compete to the best of their ability in a safe environment.
